Liverpool are still to make a signing this summer and it looks like PSG are going to beat them to another potential target as well.

The Reds are playing a patient game in the window so far and as yet, nobody has arrived.

Reports have indicated that Liverpool insiders feel there are only a small pool of players in world football who can improve the squad and with that, they are biding their time.

However, with just weeks until the season stars, some Liverpool fans are growing impatient.

And adding further to that frustration, it now looks like PSG are going to be signing a player linked with a move to Liverpool just last week.

PSG closing in on signing Willian Pacho after Liverpool interest

According to Fabrizio Romano, Willian Pacho is close to signing for PSG after the French side agreed a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt for the defender.

Pacho – dubbed ‘world-class’ over in Germany – is also thought to have agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 giants.

Taking to X to give the update on Pacho, Romano has said that his famous ‘here we go’ will be coming soon.

Reports in recent days suggested a £50m deal could be on the cards for Pacho and Liverpool.

However, it now seems he’s on his way to PSG as yet another slips away.

Will Liverpool sign anyone?

There’s not that long left in the window really and for Liverpool, they face a decision over whether they spend or go with what they’ve got.

Having a new manager in the building usually suggests new signings but right now, things are quiet.

The likes of Anthony Gordon are being linked with Liverpool but that is an expensive deal to do, while long-term target Federico Chiesa looks more likely to join Tottenham or Arsenal right now.

Liverpool, then, could well go the whole summer and signing nobody.
